Our Schools
Welcome to Kinyago-Dandora Schools
We are a community school in the Dandora slum of Nairobi, Kenya, serving students from Preschool through Grade 12. Supported by Kenya Children’s Fund in the United States, we walk alongside children and their families—lifting them from cycles of poverty and hopelessness into lives of purpose, dignity, and achievement through Christ-centered education that extends from nursery to university.

The Primary School (KDS)
Founded in 1987 as a small feeding program, the school now offers a full Competency Based Education from kindergarten through Junior Secondary. Known as one of the top schools in the region, we continue to raise the bar nationally while supporting students beyond primary school through Kinyago Dandora Secondary School, ensuring continued education, spiritual growth, sponsorship, and talent development. The Secondary
School (KDSS)
Founded in 2006, Kinyago Dandora Secondary School was created to give students a consistent, Christ-centered education beyond primary school. What began with a single class has grown into a thriving school serving nearly 250 students and over 800 graduates. With a focus on academics, spiritual growth, health, and overall well-being, the school provides a truly holistic education.

Kinyago Alumni
Association (KAA)
Kinyago Alumni Association began with graduates returning to mentor and give back, and was formally established in 2013. Today, it includes over 1,000 members making an impact around the world. Rooted in shared experiences through KCF, the alumni community continues to support one another while giving back academically, economically, and spiritually.
Our School Programs
KDS provides a holistic, student-centered program designed to support every aspect of a child’s well-being. Every child who attends KDS receives four essential areas of care: a quality education, Christ-centered spiritual guidance, access to on-site medical care, and daily nutritious meals. Together, these core pillars ensure students are supported academically, physically, and spiritually so they can thrive in school and in life.
What Every KDS Student Receives
Education
Quality, consistent learning that builds a strong academic foundation
Spiritual Care
Christ-centered guidance, mentorship, and daily biblical teaching
Medical Care
On-site health support to keep students healthy and in school
Nutrition
Daily meals that fuel growth, focus, and development

Chaplaincy Program
We are committed to nurturing each student’s spiritual growth through a Christ-centered environment rooted in faith in Jesus Christ. Through our dedicated chaplaincy, students receive daily guidance, biblical teaching, and ongoing support alongside quality education, healthcare, and nutrition, helping them grow in both faith and life.

Health Program
The Health Program was established to address the critical health challenges faced by students from underprivileged backgrounds. Through the on site infirmary, students receive essential care and treatment helping combat issues like malnutrition, infections, and poor hygiene so they can stay healthy and focused on their education.

Feeding Program
Since 1987, the Kinyago Dandora Schools Feeding Program has been committed to providing nutritious meals to children in need. Every student receives two meals each day, with additional take home meals for some, ensuring they are nourished both at school and at home. This support plays a vital role in improving attendance, focus, and overall well being in the classroom.
